I’m Aaron Gilkey, a graphic designer, photographer, and Media Relations Coordinator for Metropolitan Emergency Medical Services (MEMS) in Little Rock, Arkansas. Since 2022, I’ve been happily married to my husband, Dillan, and we share our lives with our two dogs, Shelbie and Finley, and our newest addition, a cat named Cosmo.Before joining MEMS, I spent eight years serving as a 911 telecommunicator and supervisor in Yell and Pope Counties while continuing my education at Arkansas Tech University. During that time, I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design and a Master’s in Student Affairs Administration. My professional journey began in design and public communications at Arkansas Tech’s marketing department, where I contributed to university publications, branding, and creative projects that helped shape my approach to communication and design.At MEMS, I get to combine my passion for creativity with my background in emergency services. I oversee internal and external communications, including branding, social media, photography, videography, media relations, and community messaging. In 2026, I realized EMS public relations might just be my thing, so I completed training and became one of the first Certified Ambulance Public Relations Officers.Outside of work, I enjoy spending time camping, and taking photos, especially of planes taking off and landing at the Little Rock Airport. Most of all, I cherish life’s simple moments with Dillan, our pets, friends, and loved ones.
